Building Institutional Capability

SECTOR: HIGHER EDUCATION

Context
A major student organisation serving 67,000 students faced governance breakdown, financial instability and strategic drift amid sector disruption and COVID‑19 impacts.

Challenge
The organisation lacked the capability to interpret sector pressures, engage effectively with the university or meet student needs in a transformed environment.

Approach
We conducted an Organisational Review, rebuilt governance, clarified decision‑making and established a stable operating model. Rapid crisis‑era responses were designed to manage financial risk, workforce disruption and continuity.

Implementation
Governance structures were restored, institutional relationships rebuilt and a roadmap aligned with long‑term sector pressures developed.

Results
The organisation regained stability, financial sustainability and strategic clarity. It established the capability and governance required to remain relevant in a transformed education system.
